General Rules


Pre-registration is required for all of our programs and events (unless otherwise noted). Participation is not limit to Oxford residents, non-residents are welcome to register for no additional fee (unless otherwise noted). All registrations are handled on a first-come, first served basis. Registration is required for every individual participating in our programming and payment in full must accompany the registration form. 

Options for Registration: 
Walk-in: Visit our office to pay with cash, check or credit card.
Mail-in: Download a registration form from our website and mail with payment (check or money order) payable to the Oxford Community Center.
Online: Register online and pay with credit card.

Acceptable Forms of Payment: We accept cash, checks and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa and Discover. There is a small processing fee using a credit card).

Cancellation policy: We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a program due to low enrollment. If a class gets cancelled due to other unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to reschedule the class, however we cannot guarantee it. If we are unable to offer a make-up class, we will issue a credit for that class.

Inclement weather: If you are questioning if your class is cancelled due to weather call the OCC (508) 987-6002 as a message will be on our answering machine. We will also post all cancellations on our social media outlet. It is our policy that if Oxford Public Schools close due to weather related issues, our programs will also be cancelled.

Refund/Credit Policy: When you register for one our programs, we depend on your participation to make it successful. A full refund will only be issued when a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, the OCC makes changes that prohibit your attendance or you have an unforeseen medical problem confirmed by a doctor’s note. All refunds are paid with a check from the Town. Please allow for approximately 14-28 business days.

If you wish to withdraw from a program the deadline is no later than 5 business days before the start of that class. Classes are non-transferrable. Those withdrawing will receive a credit toward another OCC program. Credits will be honored for 12 months from the date of issue.

Age/Grade Requirements: FULL DAY PROGRAM: Your child must be 6yrs old and going into 1st grade in the fall of 2024. For preschool KidZone programs, your child must be 3.5yrs of age and potty trained before the program begins. For all other programs, your child must be within the age range of the program being offered.

Low Enrollment: Programs must meet the minimum number of participants one week prior to start date or the program will be cancelled. To avoid this we urge you to register EARLY!

Email Blasts: Program delays or cancellations due to weather will be communicated through e-mail only (not text messages or phone calls) due to our steadily increasing customer base. Please make sure your email is current with us.

Participants’ Responsibility: We ask that all participants respect the staff, other participants, program equipment, facilities and age requirements when participating in programs offered by Oxford Community Center. If participants fail to cooperate with the rules, Oxford Community Center reserves the right to dismiss or suspend a participant in any program without a refund.

Volunteer Opportunities: Oxford Community Center greatly depends on volunteers to support our programs and special events. If you are interested in volunteering, there are a variety of programs and activities looking for a caring heart, a specific skill, and a helping hand! Contact us for openings.
